Questions about Pokémon set lists

How many Pokémon TCG sets are there?

We've got card lists for 131 English sets and 186 Japanese sets, all the way from Base Set in 1999 to the newest releases. Promos and trainer kits show up on the Pokémon and trainer pages too.

What is the newest Pokémon set?

The newest English set here is Delta Reign, out on 6 November 2026, and the newest Japanese one is 30th Celebration, released in Japan on 16 September 2026. New sets are added as soon as they're out.

Are English and Japanese rarities the same?

Not quite. Japanese cards print codes like UR, SAR, SR and AR, and they don't always match the English names. The big one to remember: a Japanese Ultra Rare (UR) is a gold card, while an English Ultra Rare is a silver full art. That's why each language gets its own rarest-first order here.

What does "rarest first" mean?

Every list starts with the hardest cards to pull, like Hyper Rares and Special Illustration Rares, and works its way down to the Commons. It goes by the rarity printed on the card, not by price, so it's the same for everyone.

Can I download a card list?

Yes, and it's free with no sign-up. Every set, Pokémon and trainer list comes as a printable PDF checklist (with or without pictures) or a spreadsheet you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.
